During this ten (10) part webinar series we’ll be exploring some intimate details about the ISO 27001 standard.

Session One (1) – An Executive Overview

This opening session of the ISLF’s 2021 FREE Public Webinar Series will be an Executive Overview of the ISO 27001 Standard. During the session you will get a better understanding about the standard, including:

  • where it came from;
  • how it is designed for focus security efforts on the business strategy;
  • its strategic value and the residual benefits that can be recognized from it;
  • some of the Good, the Bad and Ugly side to the standard;
  • how to assess and determine time and cost for the standard’s implementation; and
  • more

After this and each session presentation throughout the series, you’ll hear from a guest speaker regarding their thoughts on the day’s topic, and during the last half hour we’ll be having a live Q&A session for the audience to ask questions on your mind.

Session Two (2) – The 27001 Gap Assessment

In this second session, we will be examining the gap assessment and two related critical activities that every ISMS owner will have to do in collaboration with the full ISMS implementation team. This activity will be required in order to quantify from a people, process, and technology, what is required the true time and cost for implementing the standard.

Session Three (3) – Developing an ISMS Business Case, Scope & Objectives

In this third session of the webinar series, we will be examining some of the activity that is required in order to create these three critical ISMS deliverables that will help to decide if you move forward, and if so, what segments of the organization, employees and systems need to be included.

Session Four (4) – Developing ISMS Governance

In this session, we will explore the topic of Information Security Governance; that determines and drives all things that are implemented under the ISMS. You will be familiarized with a structured approach to building your ISMS governance efficiently, to reduce the effort during ongoing maintenance.
